Hi there. I’m Stephanie. My pronouns are She/Her. I currently live in Asheville, NC where I’ve lived for over a decade but I’m originally from Tallahassee, FL.
I’m a master certified life coach. I help people feel more confident in their bodies, their minds, and their abilities by helping them remove limiting beliefs, rid themselves of self-sabotaging behaviors, and work on their self-talk.
I’ve read and study the works of Dr. Kristin Neff on self-compassion, Brene Brown on Shame and Vulnerability, James Clear’s Atomic Habits, Kamal Ravikant’s Love yourself like your life depends on it, Sonya Renee Taylor’s The body is not an apology, and so many others. I am also completing a certification in confidence coaching and have over a decade of experience in social work with trainings in trauma-informed care and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Professionally and personally, I am passionate about helping others rid themselves of shame and blame and find their self-worth and confidence. I practice body positivity, self-compassion and forgiveness, and living authentically and unapologetically as our true selves.
I also believe in anti-racism and that as a white appearing person it’s my duty to rid myself of the racism that exists in my white body. I am also Mexican-American and the granddaughter of an immigrant and believe in equity and inclusion. I’m a single mother of 2 boys and take my role as their educator and nurturer very seriously. I have over a decade of experience working in child welfare as a foster care social worker and have been inspired by the strength and courage of those I’ve worked with from survivors of abuse, neglect, sexual violence, domestic violence, and addiction.
I believe that “owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the greatest thing we’ll every do.”-Brene Brown
I too am a survivor and I believe that secrecy breeds shame and sharing our stories is part of our journey to healing.
I use this space to write, share, and hope to inspire. But my coaching services can be located at: http://www.stephaniecrawfordlifecoaching.com
